Belize was one of those places that completely surprised me. Most travelers head straight for the coast (and for good reason — the snorkeling and diving are next level).

But it was the country’s interior that really got me. Lush jungles,

I used to say elephants were my favorite animal. Then I spent an hour watching this sloth chill in a tree in Costa Rica. It moved maybe 6 inches… and yet somehow stole my heart (and an afternoon).
